York Grand Opera House - August 2025 Onwards

The historic Grand Opera House in York has unveiled a packed and varied schedule of performances for the latter half of 2025 and extending into 2026, promising a vibrant mix of drama, music, and family entertainment. From classic plays to blockbuster musicals and tribute concerts, there is something to cater to all theatrical tastes in the coming year.

The season kicks off in August 2025 with the compelling historical drama, "A Man for All Seasons," which will run until Saturday, 2nd August. This will be followed by a journey through the timeless music of one of the world's most beloved bands with "The Music of Fleetwood Mac by Candlelight" on Thursday, 4th September.

September continues to be a busy month with the improvised Jane Austen comedy, "Austentatious," taking the stage on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th. Nostalgia will be in the air with "80s Live" on Sunday, 7th September, followed by a trip down the yellow brick road with the family favourite, "The Wizard of Oz," from Friday, 12th to Saturday, 20th September. The month concludes with the thrilling mystery, "Inspector Morse: House of Ghosts," from Tuesday, 23rd to Saturday, 27th September.

Looking further ahead, the autumn and winter seasons of 2025 will see a host of other exciting productions. The much-acclaimed musical "Six" will be holding court, and the panto season will be ushered in with a production of "Cinderella."

The new year will bring even more theatrical delights. In January 2026, audiences can look forward to the chilling ghost story, "The Woman in Black." April 2026 will feature the heartwarming musical "Come From Away," which tells the incredible true story of a small town that welcomed the world.
