Harrogate International Festivals - Summer 25

The Harrogate International Festivals will present a vibrant and diverse cultural landscape in the summer of 2025, with a celebrated programme of music and literature. The season will be highlighted by the HACS Harrogate Music Festival, running from June 26 to July 11. This festival will feature an array of performances, including the return of Mike Lovatt's Brass Pack with vocalist Anna Jane Casey, and a unique series of concerts, 'Gigs at Gaia', set against the backdrop of Luke Jerram's spectacular Gaia Earth installation at St Wilfrid's Church. The musical offerings will span classical, jazz, and folk, with performances from the likes of the Fergus McCreadie Trio and the Orchestra for the Earth.

Following the music festival, the world-renowned Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival will take place from July 17 to 20 at the Old Swan Hotel. Curated by bestselling author Mick Herron, the 2025 event will feature a stellar line-up of acclaimed writers, including Lee Child, Andrew Child, Attica Locke, and Paula Hawkins. This literary gathering offers a unique opportunity for crime fiction enthusiasts to engage with their favourite authors through a series of talks, workshops, and special events.
