We can't wait to welcome you to our modern, an interactive Museum for you to explore the story of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Mark your calendar! We've got a range of specialist talks, holiday kids activities and family friendly event days to keep you busy. From Sy-fi day, Model Show, October Half Term Activities, and the Christmas fair.
A non-motorised wheelchair can be borrowed for the duration of your visit.
An assistive hearing loop is installed through the main exhibition space, servicing the interactive, audio-visual elements of the display.
Playpark
Our brand new playpark is now open, which means your visit just got a whole lot more fun. We've got plenty of REME-themed equipment for your young ones to enjoy.
The REME Museum has activities to keep the whole family busy from home or during a visit. With trails, worksheets and workshops there's lots to do and explore.
Trails
For our young visitors we offer seasonal trails full of objects to spot and questions to answer during their Museum visit. These trails are designed to get children engaged with the Museum displays and with REME history.

Also in stock: great gifts. We carry military and remembrance themed items for your home, wardrobe and garden. Our friendly staff are here to help you find the perfect present. We’re adding new products all the time, including seasonal cards and accessories.
The REME Museum Gift Shop is based in our spacious reception area, accessed via our main entrance. You can browse without visiting the Museum but we highly recommend taking a look. We accept payments in cash and via major credit cards.
Crown’s Café sits just outside the wire, near the main gate to MOD Lyneham. We welcome staff working on the base, visitors to the Museum and anyone else looking for a quick coffee or leisurely lunch.
In a relaxed atmosphere, you can enjoy breakfast rolls, homemade cakes, fresh barista coffees and a hot food menu that includes freshly made sandwiches, jacket potatoes and panini's as well as daily lunch specials. For our youngest visitors we have special lunch packs and tasty hot options.
Dietary restrictions
We aim to cater for all dietary preferences and restrictions. Common allergens are marked on our menu but please do not hesitate to raise questions or concerns with staff. We will do our best to make sure you have a suitable and tasty meal.
